3rd Giveaway of Christmas

I have the wonderful opportunity to not only get to host a fabulous giveaway this week benefits to Sandra over at Foot Loose and Fancy Free. She has the most adorable patterns for your pretty little princess, but I have also had the opportunity to review her wonderful Pillow Case pattern with the underlay.  Sandra has been wonderful to work and with and I hope that everyone gets a chance to check out her many stores on Etsy. If you don't have a sewing machine never fear she also sells her creations finished. I hope you enjoy working with Sandra as much as I have.

On to the review, I had to decide whether or not to do the stylish pillowcase dress or the standard one and I have to say as much as I love the standard pillowcase dress pattern I loved the couture look of the stylish one, so with my little diva I had to whip up and outfit for thanksgiving. We are having friends down for the holiday so I decided to make C's friend Bella a matching dress, they are going to look so cute on thanksgiving.

The pattern is very informative and detailed, not only are there many pictures to follow but Sandra breaks down each option and then has an example picture of each option so if you are visual person you can you can see what the finished project will look like. The versatility of theses wonderful dresses makes them a wonderful compliment in any season in the fall and winter months you can compliment the dress with Sandra's underslip pattern that can be worn by itself or partnered with the dress. I also whipped up Sandra's  "Sew Fun" Skirt. It looks adorable over the UnderSlip .

A Sneak Peak Before Monday's Share A Long

Well I know its not Monday but I thought Why not lets take a Sneak Peak at what I have been working on. Here are 2 of the outfits that I whipped together for C.

The first outfit was a Bell Bottom and Swing Top How cute is this one.

Sew-A-Long Week 2 BOYS BOYS everywhere

Well it's week 2 of my Sew A Long Challenge, mainly this challenge was a personal one because as we all know in the grand scheme of things, Life always seems to happen. When I go to pick up a pattern, cut some fabric, dust off the machine, some how the day is almost coming to an end, the kiddos are sick or Life Happens. This has been not only a therapeutic journey but a fun one. I have been able to tackle some much needed TO DO lists, and it feels good. 

So Week 1 the challenge was to create fun an exciting things for a little girl, it could have been anything you wanted to whip. I took this opportunity to have fun with some great fabrics by Debbie Mum, some Random Fall Prints that I had found in my stash and some fun new patterns that I hadn't yet been able to break the seal on. I hope my little Princess likes her new outfits.

This week the Challenge is BOYS BOYS everywhere, I find that when I'm looking for new fun exciting things to sew it either is a girlie pattern, a mommy pattern, or something for my house, kitchen or a new bag. It seems like the Boys in our life get left behind, but this week my goal is to focus on my little man. He hasn't been feeling well lately and what better way to brighten his day than to make him something stitched with Love. I have also been sewing up some Christmas presents that I might give everyone a sneak peep. Stay tuned for the Share A Longs which will start on Mondays since some people need the weekend to catch up. I hope everyone has a great week, and happy sewing.

Wordless Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday =------ Brotherly Love

For the past couple of years we have always gotten the kiddos dressed up and taken pictures at the nature park, I love the back drop and the idea of having the fall leaves and trees around them while getting some Halloween shots is just amazing.

Little Man dressed as Jr. Swat this year and he was such a ham with the camera and was so cute... Trying to protect us... Buggy wasn't having any part of it this year she had come to the photo shoot with attitude in tow.

So the first few pictures were her connected to her Daddy and big brother

Once daddy asked her what Jessie says she yelled "YEEE-HAWWW" and out came her wonderful fun loving personality... I think she is the cutest Jessie Ever.

Mommy even got in on the action this year and dressed up, My little man was very concerned when I wasn't going to dress up so I thru this very quick and easy costume together, right before photos... I'm a spider web if you couldn't tell... I wrapped myself in cheesecloth and hot glued spiders to it and me painted my face and BAM a Halloween Costume. The kiddos costumes I finished rather late this year Bug's we had to make from scratch because she is so tiny so couldn't get one in her size and I refused to spend the 30.00 on a swat costume when it was just a vest some toys and black shirt and pants... so we made it... and I like it better than the store one. Well that's a quick trip into our Halloween adventure I hope you all had as much fun as we did.

Week 1 Sew-A-Long

Well its November 1st and our first day of our Sew-A-long and I thought what better way to kick it off than to start sewing things up for my Sweet Princess. November 21st is her birthday and I am soooo behind on not only sewing for her party but also for all my Christmas presents.
So the guidelines for the sew-a-long this week.

FIRST OFF HAVE FUN SEWING, CRAFTING, EMBROIDERING

1. Pick a few patterns, or anything that you need to get done for your little princess in your life.
2. Next make sure you get your projects done by Friday each week.
3. Then link up to the Friday share-a-long and we will see what fun projects we have all be working on.
4. Make sure that you don't forget to GRAB THE BUTTON and link up and spread the word about our sew-a-long
5. On Friday during the Share-a-long make sure you comment on at 3 people behind linked behind you so that you can make friends in the process. Have fun enjoy and happy early holiday sewing to each of you.
   

   

Christmas Challenge and Giveaways

Well its November 1st and I'm kicking off the official start of the Holiday Season with a Sewing Challenge and Giveaways.

Sew I have been sitting here the past month trying to organize my craft room and get everything in order sew that I can get my craft on for the stack of holiday presents and projects that I need to get done. Sew who doesn't like a CHALLENGE, I would love to challenge all my followers to Follow along.

The Rules and Guidelines for the 6 week Sew-A-Long Challenge

1. Grab the Blog Button
2. Dust off your sewing machine, embroidery machine, glue gun, and craft supplies and get your craft on.
3. Each week will be a different theme, it will be posted on Sunday evening so that you can prepare for the upcoming week.
4. There will be a mclinky button on Monday to show off your weeks projects.
5. HAVE FUN

So to make the sew-a-long fun an exciting I thought who doesn't like a great Giveaway and since we are trying to dust off our sewing rooms and get some pre-holiday projects done Why host an awesome Giveaway series as well. I have been trying to come up with a fun way to giveaway items for Christmas and since most of us are familiar with the 12 days of Christmas we here at Sew Happy Sew Crafty are going to take a our own spin off the traditional Christmas song and host the 12 giveaways of Christmas.

The first week Starts November 1st and runs thru to December 13th.

The guidelines and rules for each giveaway

1. The giveaways will run either Monday - Friday or Wednesday - Monday
2. You have to grab the blog button to participate
3. Each week there will be 2 giveaways, and each prize will go with The 12days of Christmas so I hope you enjoy sharing your pre-holiday sewing with SHSC.
